Lofts at Mercer Landing I and II

Mixed-Use

Lofts at Mercer Landing I and II, known as the “Gateway to Macon”, was a creative, custom solution to Mercer’s student housing demands. The project features a pedestrian bridge funded through tax-incremental financing that required extensive cooperation from many public and private stakeholders. Jim and Travis led the efforts for this public-private partnership that produced a mixed-use development featuring retail, hotel and additional on-campus housing for Mercer while defining one of Macon’s most important gathering places.

“There is always a fear that the private partner will take advantage of public incentives and not provide the return for the community. Jim and Travis’ projects have always had an excellent balance of community and personal benefit to make the deals easy to sell to the administrators and legislators alike. They have always met or exceeded expectations for transparency and compliance.”
